Introducing...
sound like a
saucer picture.
Every 1950s science-fiction movie went through the same machines. Now your guitar does.
From the laboratories of UNTAMED AUDIO: the whole chain, in the real order — a ribbon MICROPHONE from 1950 (that chesty bump, that dark silk top), a warm TUBE stage, the optical PRINT with its Academy curve, and a PROJECTOR whose flutter is pinned to the actual math: twenty-four frames, four sprocket holes, ninety-six times a second.
Age the print with WEAR — wow from a warped reel, dirt, splices — set how 1950 the bandwidth is with TONE, raise the noise floor with HISS, and pour it on with MIX. And listen close: the hiss BREATHES. Old optical noise reduction ducked it in the quiet parts — so the print inhales when you play. Nobody models that. We modeled that.
Then the foot: HOLD the switch and the FILM JAMS. The motor dies, the pitch melts down, the reel on the face grinds to a stop. Let go — the motor recovers and the projectionist splices you right back in. Thump. As if nothing happened.
- Flutter at 96 Hz because that's what 24 fps actually does
- The hiss breathes with your playing, like a real print
- Smack the pedal: a bad splice comes through the gate
- Tap the jewel lamp: DRIVE-IN — the window speaker on your car door

Live demonstration: tremolo-pick a minor chord with WEAR past noon. The saucer is landing. It always was.
